Remember a whole two years ago when the trending hashtags were #OcsarsSoWhite and #OscarsWhitewash. But because we all have really, really short attention spans the world has moved on. This year the trend was all #metoo and #timesup. The fact is time was indeed up one some of what the acting industry had come to accept. But that doesn't mean that the issue of race isn't still relevant. It absolutely is and it starts at the ground up. So often in community theatre the stage is pretty monocultural. Not tonight at Beenleigh. Tonight's performance of A Little Princess was a very multicultural affair - as one would hope with a show set in Africa and London.Congratulations on a job well done.
