While I don't want to jinx it, I think perhaps, just perhaps, things are returning to normal around here, whatever that might be. The cough hasn't gone but the trajectory is improving and that has to be better than the alternative. And the kookaburras are back. While the magpies, the butcherbirds and the noisy miners returned almost as soon as Margaret did, the kookaburra were a little more reticent. I presumed they had found another food source. But kookaburras are clearly smart birds and know which side their bread is buttered on or in this case which window the mince will be found. This is where I was going to take a photo a day in 2012 but forgot to stop. I also write something random to give you an insight into the craziness that is Susan's mind.

August 5. Day 218. Situation normal
