April 4. Day 94. The (un) getting of Wisdom

One would have to wonder about the design fault that is wisdom teeth.
There doesn't seem to be anything very wise about growing body parts that quite routinely don't quite fit in and have to be removed.
The procedure is most painful - both to the patient and the purse.
Today was Drama Being's turn. All four teeth were removed under general anaesthetic at Saint Andrews Hospital.
The procedure went well. How the recovery goes is still up for debate.
Tonight was ice packs, warm salt water gargles and industrial-strength pain killers. Repeat.
Mostly though it was just swelling, dribbling and that horrible numb feeling.
Not that there was much sense in complaining - I couldn't understand a word he said.
