This is where I was going to take a photo a day in 2012 but forgot to stop. I also write something random to give you an insight into the craziness that is Susan's mind.

August 17. Day 227. Fade to black
I'm a sucker for a great set. It's part of the magic of theatre. I also love great costuming, to help define character and period and style. But having said that the real joy of a night at the theatre is the story. Seeing The Laramie Project always reminds me how the story is the star. Tonight Drama Teen and his cohort at Fame Theatre staged the story of the tragic death of Matthew Shepherd in a violent gay bashing in Laramie, Wyoming. The Laramie Project is the poster child for verbatim theatre where the script is drawn from the words of real people performed by an ensemble cast playing multiple characters. Typically it's theatre blacks all round. With no set and no props, all the actors have to draw on is a powerful script and their own raw talent. Do it well as it was tonight, and you leave the theatre close to tears but still celebrating the craft.
