Life is unfair to us "chicks". When men his middle-age they buy sports cars. Women are likely to suffer from brain fog and irritability. The change of life isn't a change for the better. In fact it sucks. Totally. You have to laugh or you'll cry. Today I choose laughter. Today I choose Menopause the Musical. Oliver and I drove to Redcliffe to see a touring production of the show that has women of a certain age rolling in the aisles. The story is simple - four women of very different backgrounds have one thing in common - menopause. And let's face it hot flushes, night sweats, forgetfulness, loss of sex drive, weigh gain there's a lot going on there to bond over. It's not Shakespeare but for many women it's far more easy to relate to- and it's fun. It was well worth the drive. Plus we got to visit the natives so a good time was had by all.
