I know there are many people who would prefer to stick pins in their eyes than go to a lunch where the State Budget is discussed.I am not one of those people.
I enjoy politics. I enjoy good food.
I enjoy good wine and good company.
The political speech is not a price to pay but an added benefit.
Also an event convened by the Queensland Media Club and attended by many of the top journalists is one I enjoy.
I love watching the Q and A.
It's like watching a tennis match: the serve and receive and the rallies is always a delight to me.
Each to their own, I guess but this is my idea of a free lunch.
