Many an Australian tourist has been caught out by that. It's all too confusing. And because we are simple folk here in Brisbane we choose to hold Oktoberfest in October. We also have an "interesting" interpretation to traditional German clothing. I'm sure the beer is ... beer. Anyway, there was a bucketload of festive spirit at South Bank today. What it would have been like by nightfall is anyone's guess.
