This is where I was going to take a photo a day in 2012 but forgot to stop. I also write something random to give you an insight into the craziness that is Susan's mind.

November 1. Day 305. Memories light the corner of my mind
The job of cleaning out Margaret's house is not one I was looking forward to ... not at all. It's sad and difficult. At times I feel a bit over-whelmed working out the right thing to do with some of the objects. And just when I feel exhausted by it I find a gem. Today it was a kaleidoscope. I love kaleidoscopes. This one had been hand-made for Margaret.
But that was the warm-up round. I found a war diary. It was her father's from 1945. Much of it is a bit pedestrian but there are entries that are priceless. The August 15 entry was gold as he documents the Victory in the Pacific celebrations in Brisbane. Margaret was delighted. I was delighted.
