Teenagers, especially those of the male variety, are supposed to eat you out of house and home. Not mine. He appears to live on air with occasional doses of pasta and chocolate. Had I not been present at his birth I would question if he was even related to me. Food is my thing.
Having a non eater may save a world of pain in the hip pocket nerve but it it a right royal pain in other bits .Feeding ones offspring is what we mothers are meant to do is it not? Certainly this magpie parent I spotted at Bulimba this morning was taking the job very seriously. Not that it had much choice. There was no end of squawking from the little one to make it abundantly clear what it was after. Clearly it thought if you don't ask you don't get and there was no way that was going to be allowed to happen. That's a bird after my own heart. One should never let an opportunity to eat pass you by especially if someone else is dishing it up.
.
That is so very true!

What a great photo. I often feel like a mama bird, Dot is always chirping 'mam, mam', even when she doesn't want anything!
