When the going gets tough... the tough get a pedicure. This may not be the "normal" way of dealing with a week that involves many thousands of dollars in urgent home repairs but it is my way. Today it was the dishwasher's turn. Water leaking from a downstairs light fitting is not good. It was coming from the dishwasher above. Finally the quote for the repair came in - just under $1000. So a new one it is. Faced with such an unexpected expense, many people might look at areas to cut back - and I will - soon. But first a foot massage and a new coat of colour gives a girl a new spring in her step.
